Where: Parish Center and Feist Hall

Marriage Renewal is intended for all married couples, regardless of their backgrounds. The program accepts couples where they are now and builds from there. It is helpful at all stages of marriage. Practicing Catholics, non-Catholics, and Catholics who have been minimally involved with the Church will feel equally welcome.

Marriage Renewal is also appropriate for engaged couples and those who are entering into second marriages. Saint Charles Borromeo Parish's Marriage Renewal supports the sacrament of matrimony by providing opportunities for couples to experience God's unconditional love, by renewing and nurturing marriages and by motivating couples to share their gifts in active service to their parish and the greater community.

How does it work?
  • By couples sharing from their "real-life" experiences
  • By couples experiencing mutual support
  • By building couple leadership and a sense of team
  • By couples discovering fresh ways to include God in their relationships and their daily lives
  • By providing opportunities for ongoing couple support after attending
  • During the weekend, you will find yourself involved in talks and discussions, laughter, reflection time, activities, great food, song, prayer, Mass, meeting other couples, sharing and so much more

Marriage Renewal provides:
  • Activities to enhance both self and couple awareness
  • Opportunities to share with others in a safe atmosphere
  • Private time with your spouse
  • Experiences to help deepen one's sense of sacrament and service
  • Strategies to help you connect to the parish community

The registration fee is only $50 per couple but no one will be turned away for financial reasons. Be in touch with the event contact person if you would like to attend but cannot afford the fee. A free-will donation will be collected at the end of the weekend.

Kids' Kamp affordable childcare is available all weekend as well. Childcare will be available on the parish campus in the nursery and the extended care building. Older children will participate in organized activities and play on the playground or in the gymnasium. Meals will be provided. The cost for this service will depend on the number of children but will be kept affordable. Be in touch with the event contact person if you will need childcare. Reservations for childcare are required.

Couples are saying great things about this program:

"From beginning to end, the people, presentations, sharing, humor and empathy touched us more deeply than we could have imagined. It reminded us of why we got married in the first place, of our many blessings and of the importance of prioritizing and practicing the Sacrament of our Marriage. The weekend was OFF THE CHAIN!" — Jim and Simone Lynch

"According to Franklin P. Jones, 'Love doesn't make the world go around ... it's what makes it worthwhile' — and that's what we discovered this weekend with fellow parishioners who value marriage like we do!" — Rudy and Christine Navarro

"We experienced a renewed energy and closeness in our marriage. We had fun, met new friends and learned from other couples just like us." — Kim and Curt Seevers
