All Saints' Day, Saturday November 1, celebrates the lives of all Christians who have died in a state of grace. While it is normally a holy day of obligation, since it falls on a Saturday, the obligation to attend Mass is lifted in the US and some other countries. We will have one Mass for All Saints' Day at 9 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, for those who wish to attend. We will not have our usual first Saturday Mass for the Faithful Departed. They will be remembered during the weekend Masses for All Souls' Day, on November 2, including the Saturday 5 p.m. vigil Mass on November 1 and all Masses on Sunday November 2.
