All Saints' Day is a day of Holy Obligation and will be celebrated at St. Charles Borromeo Parish with Masses at 9 a.m., noon and 7 p.m.

All Saints' Day is when Catholics celebrate all the saints, known and unknown. All those who have lived lives of heroic holiness, whether the Church has canonized them or not are remembered.

All Saints' is a surprisingly old feast day. It arose out of the Christian tradition of celebrating the martyrdom of saints on the anniversary of their martyrdom. The evening before, now known as Halloween, was originally called All Hallows' Eve, or the evening before the feast of All Saints'.
